Our Privacy Principles

Memoree AI is built on a privacy-first architecture. Your content is stored on your own device and in your personal iCloud account, and it is never persisted, logged, or retained on our servers. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use your content to train artificial intelligence models.

Where Your Data Is Stored

All of your memos, notes, attachments, and related content are stored locally on your device. When iCloud is available and enabled, your data is synchronized to your personal iCloud account so that it remains accessible across your Apple devices. If iCloud storage is unavailable, your data is stored solely on your local device. Memoree AI does not maintain a copy of your content on its own infrastructure. Data stored in iCloud is subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices, and you remain responsible for the security of your device and iCloud account.

How Your Data Is Processed by AI

To provide intelligent features, Memoree AI relies on Amazon Web Services ("AWS"). This processing occurs in two stages:

• Embedding. The relevant content required to answer your request is converted into a numerical representation (an "embedding") using the Amazon Titan embedding model hosted on AWS. These embeddings are used to identify the most relevant information for your query.
• Inference. Your request is processed by foundation models through Amazon Bedrock in order to generate a response. The connection used for this processing is established directly between your device and Amazon Bedrock.

Content sent to Amazon Bedrock for processing is not stored, not logged, and not retained, and it is not used to train or improve any AI models. Data is processed only for the duration necessary to generate your response and is then discarded. This behavior is consistent with the Amazon Bedrock data protection commitments described in the AWS Bedrock documentation.

Voice Transcription

When you interact with Memoree AI using your voice through Siri, your voice input is processed by Apple's speech recognition services to produce a text transcription. This processing is governed by Apple's privacy policy. The resulting text is returned to the app solely to carry out your request.

In-App Purchases

When you purchase a subscription or tokens ("Neurons"), the transaction is handled entirely through Apple's secure payment system. We do not receive or store your payment details or personal payment information.

Analytics and Third-Party Services

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics services that track your identity within the app. Aside from Apple (for iCloud storage and payments) and AWS (for AI processing as described above), we do not share your content with external services.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because your content lives on your device and in your iCloud account, you control its retention. You can delete your data at any time by removing it within the app, or by deleting the app and its associated iCloud data. Once removed, Memoree AI retains no copy of your content.

Children's Privacy

Memoree AI is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Updates to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page, and the effective date below will be revised accordingly.
